Levis V6 Cafe Racer – Futuristic & Retro for a cool £102,000

British company Levis Motorcycles has been producing two-stroke bikes since 1911, and not to be confused with the jeans brand of the same name. Synonymous with motorbike racing and a familiar fixture on UK roads before the Second World War, Levis went off map for over 70 years. The name was purchased by two automotive designers who both had a dream to revive the distinguished British motorcycle brand.

Steve Kirk and Phil Bevan worked for months to relaunch the brand in style with the fabulous V6 Café Racer. This is an innovative bike with a distinctive retro style and high performance to match. The revolutionary V6 Café Racer is just the first of five new bikes that will go into production, and indications point towards a retail price of £102,000 for the first model.

Back in 1911, Levis bikes ruled the track and road. A prestigious victory at the Isle of Man TT in 1920 cemented the brand’s name into motoring history, yet just a few years later, the company never recovered from the effects of World War II and went into liquidation soon after in 1946. The name was largely forgotten since then and passed into British motoring mythology. Reviving the noble brand is a brave undertaking of immense proportions.

The V6 Cafe Racer was designed around a car engine, and its distinctive styling and high-performance engine fully justify the price tag. The bike is a change from the usual performance bikes, and its retro styling makes it unique. Expect more exciting models with the launch of the next four exclusive bikes, but for now, feast your eyes on the breathtaking V6 Cafe Racer. A new breed of performance motorcycles has been born, and the landscape is shifting towards exclusive bikes like this marvellous one.
