Suzuki’s big news this year is the 800 parallel twin platform, as seen in the new GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE. Pretty much everything else in the lineup is a re-spray of fresh new paint. That keeps prices down, though, and Suzuki probably figures there’s no point in messing with a good thing.

Consider the GSX-S750 and the GSX250, which have both been confirmed as returning models for 2023. The 750 is based on a retuned version of the 2005 GSX-R750 engine, and while the horsepower snobs may turn up their nose, the reality is that this trustworthy inline four has been tearing up street and tracks for a long time with no & issues with the design. It will easily eclipse any North American speed limit, and the latest version of the S comes with ABS and traction control to help you keep everything in line, at a price lower than the Euro competition.

As for the 250: At a ~$5k MSRP, this is one of the lowest-priced machines you can find with ABS. If you’re looking for an affordable way to get to the office, these bikes have about a decade of proving themselves in that role around the world. With sales in every market, there are many, many practical accessories available for these machines, and they’re usually affordable. The Suzuki GSX250 platform is built in China, and that country offers top boxes and other helpful add-ons at affordable pricing, as long as you don’t mind waiting for AliExpress shipping.
