Numerous customized Moto Guzzis can be found, many of them being vintage models. However, Moto Guzzi's newer V9 model has not been fully utilized by the customization community. While the 750cc V7 is a popular platform, the 850cc V9 range offers two great models for custom jobs: the V9 Bobber and the V9 Roamer. At last year's EIMCA show, the V9 X-Track Scrambler caught attention and the latest build from Moto Strada Automotive, a unique UK showroom specializing in bespoke motorcycles, was also impressive.
Moto Strada has been a top-three dealer in the UK for Moto Guzzi sales and servicing, having held the Piaggio franchise dealership for over a decade. Though the modifications to the V9 Bobber were subtle, Moto Strada made unique paint changes and reshaped both fenders.
The stock 'balloon' tires set the stance apart and the addition of controversial "TT classic tires" makes the bike stand out even more. Passenger pegs were removed, fork gaiters were added, and GP-style mufflers provided a nice contrast to the black headers. The cockpit was beefed up with a Renthal 'fat bar' and clamp conversion, and the perforated leather solo seat adds to the true bobber feel.
While Moto Strada has many cool customs, this V9 Bobber stands out among the rest. Their passion for the Moto Guzzi brand and their distinctive style sets them apart from other dealerships.
