Ignite Straight Six has initiated a new venture, centered around building customized motorcycles using the K1600GTL platform. This particular bike is one of the lesser-explored models in the custom scene, providing a unique opportunity for customization.
The Juggernaut, created by Keiji Kawakita and the first product of this project from Japan, represents a significant departure from the K1600GTL's original design. Instead, it's been transformed into a dark, mysterious creature, inspired by the depths of the human psyche.
Despite the changes, the bike maintains its original masculine, bold stance. It's a blend of steampunk and rat bike, with a complex and engaging appearance that's both thrilling and captivating.
The fairings on the GTL were removed, replaced with an exoskeleton that creates a fluid, organic shape. This gives the Juggernaut a friendly yet menacing appearance, complete with a military finish, studs, and rivets on display. The engine cases and covers feature the same industrial antiqued finish for a consistent look. Fans of steampunk will delight in the various pipes and old-school gauges scattered throughout the bike.
The Juggernaut's beak is reminiscent of the R1200GS and supermoto bikes, but in this incarnation, it bears a striking resemblance to the Bird in the Bioshock Infinite video game. This bike is unforgettable, and it's hard to imagine a better-looking BMW K1600GTL. Even if one comes along, Kawakita's Juggernaut will still be considered the benchmark for this class. It's the kind of bike that Jules Verne and Mad Max would fight over if given the chance.
