French artist Ludovic Lazareth has transformed a typical Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle into a futuristic machine that is sure to impress motorcycle enthusiasts. The Yamaha YZF-R1 is renowned for its sharp styling and superbike spirit, but this custom-made version is in a league of its own.
Lazareth modified a 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 that was used in Vin Diesel's Babylon AD, which underwent a complete overhaul to create the Yamaha YZF R1 Street Edition. The front end of the original R1 was replaced with a custom-built front end, giving the motorcycle a unique look.
The Yamaha R1 typically has a conventional front end, but Lazareth's creation features a swing-arm setup that sets it apart from other motorcycles. The Triumph Daytona 955's wheels are used at both the front and rear of the motorcycle, and it now has a single-sided swing-arm at both ends.
Custom-built TFX Suspension shocks are used on the motorcycle, and the exhaust has been redesigned to look like an integral part of the frame. The exhaust's dead end is studded with LED lights that act as the taillight for the modified Yamaha R1 Street.
The fuel tank is made of aluminum, while the outer cover is carved from carbon fiber. The same material can be seen on the tail section, belly pan, and most of the body panels. Brembo brakes are used on the Yamaha R1, and Lazareth has added an Acewell instrument console, bar end mirrors, and drag bars on the front end.
Lazareth created this unique motorcycle when he was free from customer demands and other responsibilities, resulting in a machine that is both ultra-fresh and futuristic.
