Harley's subsidiary LiveWire has revealed the pricing details for its S2 Del Mar electric motorcycle, which was initially launched as the Launch Edition about eight months ago. The Del Mar is LiveWire's first motorcycle built on its Arrow architecture, featuring the battery, motor, charging, and control systems. While the complete specifications of the Del Mar are yet to be disclosed, the bike's electric motor generates 80 horsepower and 184 ft-lb of torque, and its battery offers a range of up to 110 miles (177 km) for city riding.
The production version of the S2 Del Mar will be priced at $15,499 in the US, which is slightly cheaper than the Launch Edition's MSRP of $16,999 announced earlier. The bike will be available in three colors, namely Pacific Gray, Nightfall Blue, and Asphalt Black, and American customers can expect delivery by July 2023.
LiveWire will begin taking reservations for the Launch Edition of the Del Mar in four European countries on April 27. However, only 100 units of the bike will be available in these markets, with all of them coming in Himalaya White color and undisclosed graphics. The price of the bike will be €20,190 in France, €19,990 in Germany, €20,390 in the Netherlands, and £18,990 in the UK. Interested customers will have to pay a €100 reservation fee and can expect delivery times until at least September.
LiveWire has planned a series of events to introduce the S2 Del Mar to riders and enthusiasts. A full calendar of demo opportunities and events will be available in June, a month before the bike hits the roads. European customers can attend viewing events scheduled by the end of this month. The S2 Del Mar promises to be a new star in the electric motorcycle market, and LiveWire is looking forward to its European rollout.
