Adventure Bikes Remain Popular in Italy's Two-Wheeled Market

Italy's two-wheeled market saw a 26.7 percent increase in March, with a corresponding 27.6 percent growth in Q1 2023, according to the National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories (Confindustria ANCMA). Scooters sold 17,777 units in March, marking a 31.5 percent increase, while motorcycles recorded 18,221 new registrations, indicating a 25.8 percent surge. Dealers are pleased with the sales increase, which builds on growth achieved in late 2022 and early 2023.

Confindustria ANCMA has also revealed the best-selling motorbikes in Italy for March 2023, with Moto Morini's X-Cape 650 adventure bike ranking in the top ten, selling 283 units. Honda's NC750X followed with 303 units sold. Yamaha's Tracer 7, Moto Guzzi's V7, and Yamaha's Ténéré 700 rounded out the top ten, with Honda's new CB750 Hornet ranking fifth with 401 units sold.

Italian consumers registered 674 Africa Twins, 621 R 1250 GSs, and 600 TRK 502s in March 2023, with the Honda Africa Twin, BMW R 1250 GS, and Benelli TRK 502 taking the top three spots, respectively.
