Yamaha has appointed Valentino Rossi as its brand ambassador, solidifying their already strong relationship. Rossi, who won four world championships with Yamaha during his MotoGP career, retired from racing in 2021 but has remained close to the manufacturer. He occasionally rides Yamaha machinery at his VR46 Moto Ranch and has used Yamaha bikes for his leisure and training purposes.
Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis expressed his excitement about the appointment, citing the special bond between Rossi and his YZR-M1. Jarvis also stated that Rossi has always been considered part of the Yamaha family and that they were eager to make the partnership happen.
Rossi expressed his delight at the new role, stating that he had always planned to continue riding motorcycles after retiring from MotoGP. The appointment of Rossi as Yamaha's brand ambassador is a significant moment for both the manufacturer and fans of motorcycle racing, as Rossi's passion for the sport and close ties with Yamaha make him the perfect candidate for the role.
