BMW Motorrad has announced that the updated version of their R12 nineT motorcycle from their heritage lineup will be launched in the latter half of 2023. The R12 nineT will be presented in celebration of the "100 years of BMW Motorrad" anniversary and will replace the current model R nineT. Although no details have been released yet on the engine power or displacement, it is known that the bike will be powered by BMW Motorrad's air- and oil-cooled boxer twin.
The tank on the R12 nineT has been redesigned to resemble the classic BMW boxer tank from the 1970s, while the frame triangle under the rider’s seat is now filled in with new side covers. Other design changes include a new front mudguard, LED main headlamp, and a cruise control indicator, which was missing from the previous R nineT model.
The R12 nineT will also feature an LED rear light unit integrated into the seat, allowing riders to personalize their bike with ease. More details on the updated model will be released closer to the launch date.
