At AEO Powersports, Jeremy took on the challenge of revamping the classic Honda CR500, a bike with a rich racing heritage and a nostalgic '90s motocross vibe. After some careful updates and modifications, the finished product is truly a sight to behold. The pictures simply don't do justice to this mesmerizing machine - you have to see it in person to fully appreciate it.

One of the standout features of this CR500 build is the Works Connection aluminum skid plates. These iconic products have a timeless appeal, and even today, they are readily available for the CR500. Works Connection's dedication to producing quality parts for this beloved bike is evident.

Another noteworthy addition is the Nickel Wurks complete fastener kits from Specbolt. These kits not only offer a factory look but do so at a fraction of the cost. The attention to detail in the CR500 power plant is a testament to the craftsmanship put into this build.

When it comes to wheels, the crew at Dubya USA is the go-to team. They have a wide range of wheel combinations that can fit almost any dirt bike. In this project, the AEO CR500 wheel set boasts black HAAN hubs with stainless steel spokes and gold DID Dirtstar STX-X rims, all expertly assembled at their USA headquarters in Southern California.

The ODI CFT Handlebars, mounted on the new top clamp systems, add both style and functionality to the bike. Motion Pro's replacement throttle assemblies are also a wise choice for various machines. In this case, the Vortex SE replaces the OEM throttle on many Japanese 2-strokes and can be used with their throttle tube or new style lock-on ODI grips with cam “C”.

The suspension system received special attention from the skilled team at REP/AEO suspension. They installed a modern WP Cone Valve Fork on the front, complemented by a reworked rear shock to match. The seamless mounting and installation of the WP components give the impression that this setup came straight from the factory.

FMF, a name synonymous with high-performance exhaust systems, came through with pipes for the Honda CR500. The Gold Series Fatty and Power Core 2 silencer combination they offer perfectly complements the overall classic theme of the CR500 build.

Sunstar Works Triplestar aluminum sprockets and the durable DID ERT3 gold chain add both style and functionality to this project. With a 7075 T6 construction and a hard anodized coating, the sprockets provide extra strength while the chain remains lightweight and capable of withstanding abuse.

To enhance the visual appeal further, an aluminum tank was specially handmade to original OEM Honda specifications by XFUN in Europe. Few things look cooler on a '90s era machine than an aluminum tank, and this addition takes the CR500 to the next level.
