Comfort takes a backseat to style in the world of custom motorcycles, but Gas & Oil Bespoke Motorcycles has taken it a step further with their striking Ducati Monster 620 build—dubbed the Red Angel.

Led by Matěj Sysel, the Gas & Oil team in Prague has a reputation for crafting a wide range of custom bikes, and the Ducati Monster platform has been a canvas for their creativity. However, the Red Angel is a departure from their usual approach, as the client's request was clear: create an exceptionally minimalist machine based on the Ducati Monster, with a focus on shedding all unnecessary comforts.

The base for this build was a 2005-model Ducati Monster 620, but that's where the resemblance ends. Virtually every component was changed, leaving only the frame, engine, and front forks from the original bike. The most significant transformation came with the addition of a Ducati 999 fuel tank, which surprisingly complements the Monster's design, accentuating the trellis frame and the L-twin motor's rear cylinder.

The team modified the frame to accommodate the new tank and crafted a new subframe at the rear. A minimalist fiberglass tail section with a barely-there seat pad adds to the bike's lightweight appearance. The rear hump cleverly conceals all the electronics, including a JMT Lithium battery and a Motogadget mo.unit.

Gas & Oil didn't stop there; they swapped the standard swingarm for a single-sided swingarm from a Ducati Monster S2R, along with Marchesini rims and a Showa shock from the same bike, further enhancing the bike's uniqueness.

The front end received a tracker-style number plate in place of the original headlight, housing a single LED projector from LSK Electronics. M-Style clip-ons, fitted with Motogadget bar-end turn signals and mirrors, replaced the factory handlebars. The cockpit now features a compact Motogadget speedometer ingeniously doubling as a blank-off plate for the removed handlebar risers.

With approximately 60 hp from the L-Twin engine, the Monster 620 delivers an exhilarating ride on twisty roads. UNI foam filters, custom stainless steel exhaust headers, and a Sharon muffler add a performance boost, while Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires ensure ample grip. CNC Racing footpegs and a clear clutch cover contribute to the bike's striking aesthetics, staying true to Ducati's iconic style.

The Red Angel's livery combines classic Ducati red on the frame, tank, and front fender, contrasting beautifully with the white tail section. The final result is a visually striking machine that embodies the essence of minimalism, prioritizing style and agility over comfort.

Gas & Oil successfully delivered a motorcycle that aligns perfectly with their client's wishes—a lightweight, performance-focused custom Ducati Monster 620 with a bold and unforgettable presence on the road.
