Revving things up for the 2024 model year, Kawasaki Germany is unleashing a rare beast: the Ninja ZX-10RR WSBK Edition. But this ain't just about looks – the Kawasaki Racing Team out in Friedrichsdorf has worked their magic, crafting these bad boys to mimic the World Superbike machines they're modeled after. And guess what? They're adding a trick variable air intake system into the mix. They're only cranking out 10 of these replicas, ever, for the public to snag.

Now, under the hood, there's a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, but Kawasaki's throwing in some spicy Pankl Racing Systems upgrades. Lightweight pistons, titanium connecting rods – it's like they're giving this beast a power-up. Plus, racing camshafts, fancy piston pins coated with diamond-like goodness (DLC), and strong, light valve springs are all part of the recipe here. And because going lighter is the game, they're tossing on Marchesini forged wheels, shedding unsprung weight for better track performance.

But hold up, the real star here is the variable air intake system in the airbox. It's not on all the time – it's like a secret weapon. If you're rocking the racing engine control unit (ECU) and the special wiring harness, you can unleash this baby. When it kicks in, servos lift the intake funnels once you hit those high RPMs, letting in more air for the combustion chamber. At slower speeds, the funnels stay low for primo fuel-air mixes. It's like having an extra turbo button.

Now, each of these 10 rare machines comes rocking full WSBK KRT graphics and a number plate on the tank showing off its spot in the lineup. But wait, there's more! These bikes are rolling out with a killer WSBK Edition package. Think signatures from Kawasaki WSBK stars Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes, a glass block etched with a sick bike illustration, and a custom key fob and I-clip. And if you're feeling the racing vibes, they're tossing in decal sheets with Rea's and Lowes' numbers, so you can flex your favorite.

Price tag? It's €33,145 in Germany, VAT included. Roughly $35,824 if you're checking your wallet as of August 28, 2023. Just to give you some perspective, the regular 2024 Ninja ZX-10RR in Germany goes for €29,995, or around $32,416.
