Kawasaki Motors is gearing up for the 2024 model year of its popular sportbike, the Ninja 650. While the upcoming release doesn't bring significant changes to the bike's features, it introduces captivating updates to its aesthetics, particularly with the introduction of a striking black color option for the standard model.
The beloved KRT EDITION will continue to be a part of the lineup, now sporting a revamped logo.
Originally launched internationally in 2012 and introduced in Japan in 2017, the Ninja 650 boasts a fully-faired design and packs a robust 649cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin-cylinder engine. Derived from the powerplant used in the ER-6n sports naked bike for global markets, this engine delivers an impressive maximum output of 50 kW (68 PS) at 8,000 rpm. Complementing the powerful engine, the middle-weight chassis combines lightweight construction with a sleek profile, ensuring an easy-to-handle and approachable ride, making it an ideal choice for both newcomers and experienced riders alike. With its long-standing presence in overseas markets, the ZX series has been a hallmark of excellence for nearly a decade. The 2020 model refresh introduced design elements inspired by the ZX series, including an inverted slant nose, LED headlights, and a TFT color LCD instrument panel. In 2023, it received the added benefit of a traction control system, aligning it with the latest industry standards.

Lime Green×Ebony (Continued)
For the 2024 model year, no substantial alterations have been made to the equipment or specifications. Instead, the focus has been on refreshing the coloring and graphics. The standard model now debuts an alluring new colorway: Metallic Matte Graffen Steel Gray x Ebony, featuring graphics reminiscent of the 2024 Ninja 250's black variant. However, the primary distinction is the matte finish, setting it apart from its predecessors. The previous white model is no longer available. Enthusiasts of the Ninja 650 KRT EDITION need not worry, as it continues to be available, with its iconic lime green and ebony graphics inspired by the Kawasaki Racing Team remaining unchanged. There's a slight design tweak, though, as the river symbol is no longer present in the Kawasaki emblem on the tank.
