Ricky Carmichael and Jeff Stanton recently unveiled the highly anticipated Triumph 250 motocross bike to the public at the iconic LA Coliseum. Prior to the Supermotocross playoffs' final round last Saturday, both riders showcased their prowess on the SMX track, displaying remarkable familiarity with the bikes, which seemed remarkably close to their production versions. The official release date for this exciting motocross offering is set for November 28, 2023.
In a statement released by Triumph:
Triumph's groundbreaking 250cc motocross bike made its first public appearance at the SuperMotocross World Championship Final on September 23, 2023, at the renowned Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in California. Enthusiastic spectators were treated to a dazzling display as two brand-new Triumph motocross bikes roared into the arena amidst spectacular pyrotechnics and fanfare.
The eagerly awaited production-specification bike was expertly ridden by Jeff 'Six Time' Stanton, a former champion at the Coliseum and the current manager of Triumph's Adventure Experience in the US. Joining him was the legendary Ricky Carmichael, whose bike featured unique graphics and non-standard specification components.
The grand unveiling of this new bike is scheduled for November 28, 2023, as announced on the colossal screens throughout the stadium.
Reflecting on his ride, Ricky Carmichael shared his excitement with fellow commentators, saying:
"I'm thrilled to finally unveil to the fans what we've been tirelessly working on for the past four years. The bike handles exceptionally well, boasts an impressive aesthetic, and boasts remarkable speed. I'm genuinely pleased with what we've achieved, and I can't wait to reveal all the final details on November 28th."
Jeff Stanton also expressed his sentiments, stating:
"The Coliseum holds a special place in my heart, and being back here with Triumph is an absolute honor. The new graphics set our bike apart in the paddock, giving it a distinct and striking appearance that I believe fans will adore."
