Hoodie Suzuki Hayabusa 2021-2024
The Suzuki Hayabusa has attained iconic status among motorcycles. Its debut in 1999 marked the era of the world's fastest production motorcycle. Now, 25 years later, the title has passed, but the Hayabusa endures as a pillar of motorcycle culture, delivering remarkable performance.
In recognition of its enduring success, Suzuki unveiled the 25th Anniversary Edition of the Hayabusa in July 2023. Adorned in a vibrant orange livery, this special edition pays tribute to the original 1999 Hayabusa, featuring Suzuki's "Glass Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black" paint scheme.
Besides the striking orange finish, the 25th Anniversary Edition boasts an anniversary logo on the fuel tank and laser-etched logos on the mufflers. Gold-anodized brake disc carriers and chain adjusters, along with a 3D Suzuki logo on the tank, add to its allure. The motorcycle is also equipped with a single-seat cowl and gloss black accents.
Technologically, the 25th Anniversary Suzuki Hayabusa builds on the new-generation model introduced in 2021. It is powered by a 1,340cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline-four-cylinder engine, churning out an impressive 190 horsepower and 111 pound-feet of torque. Unlike the analog nature of the original Hayabusa, the current generation features cutting-edge technology, including lean-sensitive ABS and traction control, engine brake settings, cruise control, hill-hold assist, and launch control.
The 25th Anniversary Hayabusa has started to appear in various markets, with the UK being the latest addition. It is available for £18,599 (approximately $22,700) on-the-road, with 2.9-percent APR finance options for both PCP and HP deals. Jonathan Martin, Suzuki Great Britain's head of motorcycles, remarked on the UK launch, saying, "There aren't many motorcycles that can claim the same history, legacy, and status as the Hayabusa. It's an icon, a game-changer, and a legend, all in one."
In the US market, the Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition is already available, priced at $19,599, which is $800 more than the standard Hayabusa. Whether the flashy orange design and celebratory details warrant the premium is open to debate.
