Graham Rahal, a seasoned figure in the world of auto racing with six NTT INDYCAR SERIES victories, is embarking on a thrilling two-wheel racing venture. He's introducing Rahal Ducati Moto, a dynamic two-bike team that he's forming alongside his father, Bobby Rahal, the renowned 1986 Indy 500 champion and three-time INDYCAR titleholder. This team is set to compete in the Supersport class of MotoAmerica, North America's premier motorcycle road racing series. The riders who will pilot the two Ducati Panigale V2s will be revealed at a later date.

XPEL, a leading provider of protective films and coatings, encompassing automotive paint protection film, surface protection film, automotive and commercial/residential window films, and ceramic coatings, has signed on as the primary sponsor for the bikes in a multi-year agreement. This San Antonio-based company also maintains ties with Rahal Paint Protection and the Bobby Rahal Automotive Group.

For as long as Graham Rahal can recall, Ducati motorcycles have held a special place in his heart. His fascination with Ducatis began in 2007 when he purchased his first one, a yellow 1098S, using prize money from his Champ Car rookie season. Over the years, he continued to amass various Ducati models, but the notion of owning a Ducati dealership, let alone a Ducati race team, seemed like a distant dream.

To maximize the team's chances of immediate success, Rahal Ducati Moto has enlisted the expertise of Ben Spies, a five-time AMA Champion, the 2009 World Superbike Champion, and a MotoGP race winner, who will serve as the team principal. The bikes will be prepared for the 2024 season at Rahal Ducati Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana, before relocating to the brand-new GR Brands headquarters in Zionsville, Indiana. Graham Rahal broke ground on this facility earlier this year, and it is slated for completion in the winter of '24.

The 2024 MotoAmerica season kicks off with the historic Daytona 200, the 82nd edition of this non-points-paying Supersport race, held at Daytona International Speedway from March 7 to 9. A noteworthy addition to the MotoAmerica series this year is a round at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, scheduled for August 16-18, serving as the home track for the Rahals, who were previously residents of New Albany, Ohio. The 10-round Supersport schedule will be broadcast on MAVTV.
