Complete Rubuild

Started a complete overhaul in August of 2017. The bike was left is storage for 10 years with a full tank of fuel! Never do that by the way. She was tagged and inspected March 3rd 2018 and runs like a top! Here is a list of things I did to get her back up and running.

Front and rear wheel bearings
Triple tree bearings
Rebuilt front forks-seals leaking
Swing arm bearings/seals, and bushings
Rebuilt front and rear brake calipers
New brake pads
Replaced front and rear brake rotors
Flushed and replaced brake fluid
Rebuilt clutch master cylinder
New front and rear sprockets
New chain
New tires front and rear
New fuel pump “original was trashed from sitting 10yrs
All new fuel lines
Rebuilt fuel petcock
Replaced fuel tank with NOS original was thrashed from sitting for 10yrs
Rebuilt carbs and replaced one float
Replaced fuel level sending unit-trashed
Adjusted intake and exhaust valves
Replaced exhaust gaskets
Oil and filter
Replaced spark plugs and wires
Replaced all coolant hoses
Replaced thermostat and radiator cap
Replaced water pump
Replaced battery
Replaced ignition switch
Strip and polish frame
Polished out rear wheel
Replaced wind screen
Replaced burnt out instrument cluster bulbs
Replaced headlight bulb
Replaced handle bar grips
New clutch and front brake levers
Installed new throttle cables
Replaced voltage regulator-charging at almost
16 volts

It was a good project but I wouldn’t do it again.
