Az_Tank, Obviously it’s a relative question. Here in Michigan we are having the hottest summer on our records. We aren’t accustomed to 95 degree temps for months at a time with 90% humidity because we have more than 11,000 inland lakes. Just walking out the door is instantly thick, miserable air ?
We can’t even lane split or ride the shoulders of our highways in the event of a traffic jam. You’re just stuck in place with a 1700 cc air cooled engine roasting your testes.
Hooligan Nation, Yeah you can keep that humidity. I’ll take 115 with 0% humidity over 85+ with 90% humidity any day of the week. I know my group, we tend to still ride but stop more frequently to rehydrate and reapply sun protection. Cooling vest make all the difference here
in my nations capital , Ottawa, is just nonsense HOT.. with the humidex it goes up to 40° its a killer all I'm saying is i still ride but not to far.. i make sure pit stops are close by as well. make the most of it cause winter for us in the north comes quicker than most.. oufff.. safe riding you guys!!???
I wanted to ride today but with being ATGATT rider, I just go into suffocation really quick. Hooligan Nation, as you said, here in Michigan are not used to 95°F with the high humidity. I just had to take it easy and enjoy the A/C. But this too shall pass and we will have reasonable riding weather. ?
Hooligan Nation, actually, when you go squid in these extreme temperatures, you feel even worse, since nothing is covering your skin and you can get pretty burnt. It is better to have something on, at least a mesh jacket, but with this humidity, it is just too darn much even. A cooling vest helps if the humidity is not high. Otherwise, it seems you are in a sauna...lol ?

I envy you guys for that.
Our winters have been starting here in January, in southeast Michigan.
Last winter we barely had a winter
As soon as i got home i ordered a lighter ece rated helmet that should help with the heat, since i prefer my gear?
You are obviously wise, wearing gear at all times!
