Easy wizzy overtaking

In Mauritius Island we drive on the left side of the road. Thus a driver tends to look more in his right mirror. That is why i always say overtaking on the left is a risky manoeuvre. Sharing of lanes is possible if you care for Bikers. Do you agree of overtaking on the driver's side?
