Do you find those new longer pipes quiter? I'm thinking of shortening my pipes but don't really want it any louder. Diameter of pipe probably plays a part too I suppose.

Switchblade, So my short pipes were that Amazon $100 special lol... they were loud, shot fire 🔥. I bought the vance & hine big radius 2 to 2 and its still really loud (baffles aren't in) but I absolutely love it. I love the loud pipes.

Z0mb13eat3r, Cool, I see you wrapped the pipes too. Did you do it for looks or do you find its needed to keep your pants from catching fire? Was it a problem on the shorty pipes?

Switchblade, Neither of my pipes came with heat shields. I looked into purchasing some for the vance & hines and it would be cheaper to just buy a whole new exhaust system. I have no clue why the heat shields alone would cost $700 where a new system would be $625. The wrap helps some, but honestly not that much. I have a special leg guard that I wear that helps some as well. Anything under 45 mph and my leg feels like its on fire 😅😅

Z0mb13eat3r, wow good to know. I won't bother rerouting my pipes close to leg then lol. I see it quite often and wondered how it actually felt.

Z0mb13eat3r, Try wrapping with Titanium warp - I ride for hours without feeling any heat on my leg. When you stop of course it all comes out. But that’s the same with heat shield.

deleted, It is the titanium. I don't feel it to much while moving but yeah, stopping is terrible lol. One day I'll get in trouble for running stop signs (I always make sure its clear before I take off)
