Straight line speed is not the ultimate thrill or gauge of your ability.
Corner speed and lean angle are a much more significant measure.
I can lean over to the pegs reliably and consistently on my BMW R12. At this angle I apex corners at about 2 1/2 times the advice sign. Not such a thrill anymore.
Powering on and getting back end to drift out does give a thrill.
