Riding with style!

As a Scotsman, I know what cold and wet weather is. Being stylish when the heavens have opened or the thermometer is falling fast is a real challenge most riders don't even try to meet. Isn't I time that riding gear manufacturers invested more in design and tech to create riding gear that was light, waterproof, warm, with pockets where needed and in colour ranges to satisfy the most discerning? With the price of riding gear forever climbing why should we put up with sub-standard kit when it isn't necessary?

Bet this gear isn't warm AND waterproof.

My biggest concession to style is finding a helmet that matches (or at least doesn't clash with...) the bike. Not always easy as, obviously, I will not compromise on safety or quality. For the rest of my kit, functionality/quality comes first and foremost and I therefore usually end up dressed all in Black.
