For those who don't know, David's name is synonymous with the Northern Thailand region from his decades of riding routes we now all know and love, well before they were put firmly on the map.
Talking of maps, David is a cartographer and his experience and knowledge of Thailand and Laos gave birth to the iconic 𝗚𝗧 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝘀 - a rider staple:

David also set up the website https://www.gt-rider.com/ which provides guides and resources for riders as well as a community forum.
He arranges regular meet-ups in rural locations for 𝗚𝗧 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, which helps to give a small economic boost in the smaller towns and villages.
He has also attended and documented many rural festivals and events, including local Hilltribe festivals in hard-to-reach areas, many of which we would never have known about if not for David.
There is so much to David that it is time to pick his brain a little. This interview will be a fun and interesting discussion in a relaxed way. We will have the opportunity to listen to a rider who has been living in the region for decades and who is well-known and well-loved by many.
