Mud was not my friend.
So it's been a while since I last made a post, apart from working and revisiting some fantastic roads I had a bit of an accident back in October. one of the roads on my way home was a little muddy (it's used by farmers) and after what I thought was just a little rain whilst I was working turned out to be a little more and had turned the mud in to a slop. my judgment was to skip it but I just wanted to get home so took the risk which sadly didn't pay off. Just moment after getting my speed down and making the run I found my wheels getting slippy as the packed up with mud and then a patch of grave took the bike from under me and well the rest is history. thankfully the mud stopped too much damage happening and apart from the loss of a few bits all was well and the bike was fixable and is now back with me and back on the roads. I always ride with the mantra "Never in a rush" and I normally never take risk but this one moment of madness has shown it's not always easy to make the right call but it has shown that a few minutes extra can save weeks of time waiting for the bike to be fixed.
