Royal enfield interceptor valve clearances.

1. When disconnecting the fuel line, disconnect the lower one, not the higher,more obvious one. The correct one is connected to a T piece between the frame rails.
2. I Noted the spark plugs have corrosion, guess from water sitting beside the plugs. Could this be water sitting in the plug recess after washing or wet rides?
3. The crankshaft access cover was really difficult to undo. Get the correct tool, I had to gently heat the cover.
Only 1 valve was very slightly out, tight, the right inner exhaust valve, and I could easily have left it. It was probably in tolerance.
4. On reassembly, the fuel pump connector wouldn't go back in. On checking, one of the pins was slightly out of alignment, and I removed the tank and realigned that pin. OK then. It is quite tight removing and reconnecting everything under the tank.
