Small nail inrear tyre

So I noticed this small nail in my rear tyre after went over a pothole and wanted to check my rims. The nail is about the same size as those Ikea nails you use to nail in your backboard. I posted a key for size reference. Now I don't know if this nail even punctured my tyre or only the surface. If I were to pull it out I would have to enlarge the hole because regular tyre patches wouldn't fit ( it's also in the groove that is supposed to move water better) Please advice, I don't intend to replace tyres.

Pull it immediately. If it leaks, plug it (from the outside). f the plug develops a slow leak before the tire wears out, you could renmove the tire from the rim and patch it (from the inside), or replace the tire.

  • I would say just use a tire plug kit if it leaks
