BMW Motorcycles Of Chicago, aka Motoworks, and the Chicago Region BMW Club are pleased to announce a fall celebration of the 40th anniversary of the BMW GS. Come join us at Big Snow resort September 11-13 for the #40yearsgs ADV Fest! We will be celebrating 40 years GS with:

Epic paved routes through the UP. The area around the resort is home to some of the best riding in the midwest. You can take advantage of local knowledge and enjoy these routes on a guided ride, or download the tracks and make your own way.

Event Registration includes:

Event Tee shirt and sticker.

Adventure rides Saturday and Sunday, of the paved and unpaved variety.

Big Snow’s legendary Chicken Dinner and bonfire on Friday night.

Breakfast at the top of the mountain Saturday and Sunday.

GS bike show on Saturday night, we’ll line up the bikes on Saturday after our ride, and have people's choice awards for: Most Well Worn, Most Farkled, Oldest, Newest, Highest Mileage, and more.

Outdoor Movie night Saturday night, featuring highlights from the 40 year history of the BMW GS pumping.

Lodging

"Stay 2 nights, 3rd is free." Rates--starting at $68 for hotel/basic room, $99 for 1-bedroom slopeside condo, $149 for a 2-bedroom slopeside condo. 1-800-346-3426 - reservation code is " moto " to take advantage of buy 2 nights get one free. While the facility does not have a campground, they do permit sleeping outdoors. Please note that registration here does not include hotel rooms.

Riding

We'll offer both on pavement and off-paved routes with with paper maps and GPS tracks. If you would like to ride the local trails you'll need a MI DNR ORV pass, these cost $35 and are available in Wakefield at the Holiday gas station, only 2 miles from resort. We'll have ride leaders, or you can download the tracks, grab a map, and do your own thing.

This is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the spirit of adventure, while maintaining our distance, and getting outdoors. The summer and fall riding seasons will soon be in our rear view mirrors. Lets seize the season while we still can!
