CEO of Dorna Carmelo Ezpeleta confirmed the fact of the development of the project, according to which in the coming years a city race can be organized. The question is already being discussed. The route is planned to be organized on public roads. At this stage, the name of the city is not called, but they promise a warm one.

The paddock would be integrated in an exhibition center, which is usually used for various events throughout the year.

“There is a solid project in a warm city”, - Ezpeleta said. – “In theory, the main straight of the track would be held on a street and the paddock would be covered, integrated in an exhibition center. For the grand prix weekend it will be used for the race”.

The most intense season in the history of the Grand Prix starts on March 18 in Qatar, where the first of nineteen races will take place. Finland is already included in the temporary MotoGP calendar of 2019, which means, that the championship can expand to 20 events. In addition, many countries have been in contact about potentially holding a race.

“Honestly, it is hard to organize more than 20 races, "- explained Carmelo Ezpeleta."I always said that the ideal option is a championship consisting of 22 races, but it's too early to talk about it."
