It’s really hard to ride a motorcycle in winter in Quebec, but there are motorcyclists, who don’t stop riding.

In the northern regions, only few people ride during the winter due to low temperatures, poor road conditions, but in Quebec, Canadian province, they want to adopt a law to keep the motorcycles off the road all winter.

In 2008 the province’s winter tire bill came into effect, which states that between December 15 and March 15, “all passenger vehicles registered in Quebec must be equipped with winter tires.”Until recently, motorcycles were automatically banned, but not long ago new winter tires for motorcycles have arrived on the market. The tires fully comply with the classification, described in the bill.

According to new amendments to the Bill 165, which has not yet been adopted, motorcycles are only allowed on the road in Quebec from December 1 to March 15. And it’s hard to say, whether it is a restriction of freedom or an action for road safety.
