Royal Enfield has just unveiled its new scramblers, the Bullet Trials Works Replica series with single-cylinder engines. Its design is reminiscent of the RE Bullet of the early 50s, when these motorcycles took part in trial races in the UK.
RE Trials will be produced in 350 and 500cc versions, like other models of the Bullet family. The Bullet Trials come equipped with the necessary features to be more off-road friendly than their standard counterparts. A 19-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the back, engine protection, the new headlight design, the higher-set handlebar, the upswept muffler and the slightly raised rear fender - this is the whole off-road entourage. Spy photos spotted micro-arcs to protect the side caps of the engine, but this is an optional detail. Also, the owner will receive aspring-mounted saddle, and a luggage rack replacing the passenger pillion. The 350 receives a contrasting red tubular frame while the 500’s is painted green.
Specifications:
The Indians have prepared a small video with a historical background on the off-road victories of the British RE. For instance, John Britten won a 6-day trial race in Scotland in 1957on the 1950 Bullet 350. Unfortunately, John died on 7 March at the age of 86,without waiting for the premiere of a replica of his bike.
