After the news of the patent filed for The Rebel 1100, Honda continues to put to good use the investments made to develop its parallel twin cylinder of 1084 cm3 already seen on the Africa Twin.

The accompanying images show how the main Japanese motorcycle magazine AutoBy thinks it can be the next CB1100X: according to rumors, the style of the new crossover will be in line with the other models of the X family, and is inspired by the CB4X concept made by Valerio Aiello for EICMA 2019. Although it was a four-cylinder it was a synthesis between Sport-Touring and crossover and filled a hole in Honda's offer. Some of the patents filed by nissan in march, have revealed two new chassis design built around the engine of the Africa Twin models: one was a little like the frame of the four-cylinder CB1000R, while the other was a lattice frame; one of these two could be destined to CB1100X. In terms of style, the rendering of AutoBy show a bike that takes some cues from CB125X shown two years ago. It has the same angular shapes, but it is obviously more voluminous. We will keep you updated on the evolution of the CB1100X project in the coming months, AutoBy sources say for this model the debut should be scheduled for 2022.
