My 2008 GSXR 600

My bike won’t display mode selection on its dash even though I pressed and hold on the mode button for more than 3 seconds, though there is an F1 error displayed which is as a result of the removal of its exhaust valve. Can that be a cause ? And how can I get back my mode setting up ?
