PSA : If a biker taps his helmet/head it means there's a police speed trap ahead

I only see a small numbers of riders do this.
Everyone knows the "bike wave" but when a passing rider taps his head a few times instead of waving, it usually means there's a policeman or a speed trap set up down the road.
