Cape to Knysna Bloukrans Bridge.
this is one Ride I did not plan, I just woke up Friday and decided that I will take a ride to what is known as the Garden Route of South Africa. Bare in mind that I just had this bike Kawasaki Versys 650 for only 2 weeks.
I left my place at 12:30pm, the first stop was at my mother's place, just to let her know that I am going away for 4 days. I stopped for pics on top of Sir Lawries Pass, nice thing about riding in Western Cape is that the scenery changes up to 5 times in just 100km. an hour later I stopped to take a pic of my bike at along side yellow and green hills of Botriver, I cruised along and filled my tank at Heidelberg and had lunch there. came across many riders in BMW 1200GS, S1000, KTM's, Kawasaki KL500.
At 6pm I arrived at KNYSNA, when I got there my phone died, and I still needed to navigate to my AIRBNB room ?, I got lost riding trying to find place, but realized that I have my laptop with me, I massaged the Host and they directed me to the place.
I was so excited to have taken my first long trip, and with no breakdown or problems on the road. I was excited to explore these town and the surrounding areas, you can not go to the Garden Route to stay in your room. I went hiking, and did some lite dirt riding, after that I wanted to go bungee jumping at the Highest Bungee jumping platform, at the boarder of Western Cape and Eastern Cape, but unfortunately I couldn't because they were still closed. I made my way back to the room and enjoyed the sunset across the lagoon with a glass of whiskey and slept early preparing for my ride back home. I woke up early on my day of departure, I have a virtual meeting before I departed heading back to Cape Town. 1158km later I was at home and tired. all I wanted was a bath and bed.
