Cape Town to Malgas
We decided last night on the spur of the moment to go check out the new pont or ferry at Malgas outside of Swellendam (numerous rumors that it’s not fully operational and is closed) but that was a chance we took and besides it’s time out on the bike anyway. First stop for coffee was at Mcgregor !
Not much happens in Mcgregor according to the locals it’s quite on Sundays and Mondays are not much busier. Coffee done, helmets on and we headed to Malgas.
Got to Malgas and Kel went down to ask if they can take us across and we where in luck a whole R40 the bike and both of us we boarded the ferry.
7 min or less we were on the other side and disembarked to continue the round trip. Next stop Swellendam for lunch and refuel.
Lunch at woodpeckers in Swellendam was some tasty pizza and an ice cold beer.
Lunch done, Kel wanted to stop in at Robertson to say hello to her friends and a bit of a break off the bike. After the visit we head out of Robertson to head back home to Cape Town.
Few stops for photos and take in the scenery we made it home just on 641km later. Exploring our back yard is always awesome and never disappoints.
