Route 66

Hi all.
I’m new here and new to biking.
I ride a 125 zontes javelin at the moment but also own an SV650sk1 (curvey) and a ZX6R ninja.
I’ve got my MOD1 and 2 next month but really want to put Route 66 in planning for next year.
Has anyone done it?
Does anyone have any experience of setting up a trip like this? What you need, best place to rent a bike(as I live in England), best places to stop Enroute?
