The factory manual says that the cam bushings rarely need replacing unless there is very high mileage.  On mine, with the cams installed dry, there was a nice slip fit on the right (big) end, but...

I would assume all the SBK shocks are interchangeable? 1198/1098/848/SF848/SF1098/S models Is this correct?...

Got myself a slightly expensive christmas present, ready to get out touring on it in the new year...

It is all about the new? Let us hope this new year, brings the right curves, and all the bells and whistles for us Motorcyclists....
