Melted Road- N.Laos

Heat plus the big heavy 22-wheeler trucks have literally melted the road in N.Laos. This is a stretch between Huai Xai and Luang Namtha. (Photo from a couple of years ago)

On this ride I rode from Thailand nto Laos and up to Muang Sing and the Chinese border. The town of Muang Sing was a pile or dust and broken up road due to all the Chinese trucks trundelling through the town.

Certainly an interesting trip although I am sure Laos is going to see some major infrastructure changes due to heavy Chinese investment and development in the region.

  Bri...., it was certainly weird when riding as I didn't expect it 😂 I was riding into the sun which was casting shadows on the road, so I didn't see the grooves. At first I thought there was an issue with my tire or steering wheel. I slowed down and was really worried.. until I saw it was the road. Totally mad! 😂
