Vets Tribute Bike
I first saw the Veterans Tribute Bike at Thunder by the Bay in Sarasota. I spoke with the owner and asked him if I could photograph it and donate the images to promote his cause of helping homeless veterans. It turns out that the owner who went by the name Robert Harris. Harris is actually a criminal named Eugene Paull who was convicted of a DEA drug charge in 1973 but fled to Jamaica and eventually assumed the Harris identity. It's alleged he continued the drug trafficking there and made a small fortune. He misrepresented himself to me and countless others, many who donated time, money and articles to make the bike what it is today. What is not known is how much of the money raised went to help homeless veterans.
