Hollywood Inspiration
So I got my idea of how to be a biker mostly straight out of Hollywood. Think of all the depictions of bikers on choppers or post war bobbers clad in blue jeans and boots with a t-shirt likely with the sleeves ripped off and a black police style leather jacket. I've held the best parts of that from the time I was a little kid all the way to present day..... Well I took a ride yesterday that took me and my machine through a landscape that to me screamed "Mad Max" (the first movie) with the deserted back roads, my engine moaning, dead trees in the background and abandoned logging sites and gas stations, and old trailer parks. Then there's my bike which I feel is what could've played a starring role in the first "Mad Max" movie (if that movie had come out in present day) considering the muted paint scheme. I was loving all of what I was riding through.
Then came the best part. My ride was almost over, and I was on my way out of the small city I'd ridden into when something caught my eye parked at what must've been a body shop on the side of the road. Brothers and sisters, I present to you Herbie! Yes that Herbie.
