What is the fastest you’ve dared to go on two wheels?

Did you have brakes, how about suspension, gears, leathers, a helmet? Now think of hitting that speed sideways, in cotton slacks, on a slanted track made of 2x4s 112 years ago and you start to understand just how tough this absolute legend was. In December, 1912, Lee Irving Humiston became the first to hit 100 MPH on two wheels (Save for Curtiss’ wacky V-8), etching his name into history as the king of Ton Up Boys and speed hungry enthusiasts first decades to come.
