Radiator damage unknown cause

Inoticed my leg was wet with coolant after leaving a gas station, so took it to the dealer for repairs and this is the state of my radiator. The bike only has 800 miles, and have never dropped it or hit anything. No other damage anywhere on the bike. Could this be damage from someone hitting my parked bike? What could have caused this?
