First time cleaning brakes, am doing okay?

Never really worked on bikes before abd very new and decided to do it myself. My front brakes kept getting black oil on the pads, so took the calipers out abd spraying everything down with brake cleaner, how am I doing?

Fix your leaking calipers and replace the pads. Oil contaminates the pad they lose stopping power after being saturated.
