Honda NM4
Okay, okay, we've amused you with a picture of an unrealistic anime motorcycle. But as Oscar Wilde said, "Life imitates art more than art imitates life." In 1987, the cult anime "Akira" was released, in which the main character, a genius racer, tries to survive and succeed in the post-nuclear Neo-Tokyo of the future. The brightest (in every sense) spot of the movie was a bright red motorcycle, a true fetish.
In 2014, Honda unveiled the NM4 motorcycle, which, obeying Oscar Wilde's logic, replicated the bike from Akira. The show caused a stir at the Tokyo Motor Show exhibition. Critics were delighted with the provocativeness of the idea, but in general assessed the model as controversial. Someone even called it "ugly" and "a hybrid of a scooter and a normal motorcycle". But the public was satisfied: aesthetically, the Honda NM4 is really close to the original (as much as it is possible in real life).
