Honda Heritage
Honda's New American Sports concept bike (NAS) was designed as a new-age naked bike, focused on the street as opposed to the track. Created beginning in 1999 by Honda Research Americas (HRA) Executive Designer Martin Manchester, the machine was unveiled at the Laguna Seca World Superbike round. The design was dominated by the liter-class V-twin engine, which was contrasted by the light, airy, open feel to the front and rear ends. Innovative features included the single-sided front-suspension system, under-seat radiator, under-engine exhaust, rim-mounted front brake, and eccentric front-axle adjusters that allow alteration of trail. The NAS is currently on display at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama.
