1984 Honda NSR500

1984 NSR500 Honda didn’t always get it right…..just ask Freddie Spencer who was asked to ride this monster in 1984. Not only did Honda add an extra cylinder to the 1983 NS500, they turned the whole thing upside down with the fuel tank in the belly-pan causing fuel stability issues. Trackside maintenance access to the engine was made almost impossible by those top mounted pipes. The bike was so bad Freddie went back to the 83 bike mid season and the NSR500 entered into folklore.
