Honda CT110 ‘Post-Haste’
For decades, the humble Honda CT110 was the indestructible workhorse of Australian postmen, built for routine mail delivery rather than turning heads. But fabricator Tim Urquhart took an old 1989 frame bought for just $70 and transformed it into the incredible "Post-Haste"—a gleaming, Art Deco-inspired aluminum streamliner that looks like the bold fantasy of a pre-war aircraft engineer.
The entire teardrop bodywork was hand-shaped in a cramped home garage, with Tim forming the metal over a simple steel skeleton without a single blueprint. To achieve that stretched silhouette, he extended the wheelbase by 20 centimeters and swapped the stock engine for a punchier 190cc motor. The builder cheerfully admits that the gorgeous fairing does absolutely nothing for aerodynamics and the bike is actually quite uncomfortable to ride. But form beautifully triumphs over function here: this fully road-legal masterpiece stops pedestrians in their tracks, leaving them guessing what kind of spaceship is parked by the curb.
