ISO a good platform

Hey there MRU, just wondering if anyone knows of a cheap sport bike for sale in Western Canada/ Pacific NW. Looking for a good platform to turn into a track only bike. Thinking something along the lines of a CBR or YZF. Nothing bigger than 750cc, but not picky on year as long as there's a solid engine and frame! I've scoured Kijiji and CL but everyone is looking for too much. 2k USD max in price.
