The Broom - the first Russian flattraсker.
So, the project of the real flattacker from Yamaha SR400 is almost finished.
Externally it most likely will not change, further tuning of the engine is possible in order to obtain more power, by recess of the cylinder and installation of the yoshimura piston under the increased compression ratio.
In the previous post about this motorcycle, I mentioned the racing version, here are the main changes:
- Installation of the flattracker tyres Dunlop k180,
- Replacing the rear shock absorbers on the Ohlins ones,
- Installation of the tuning oil main line,
- Replacing the brake disc for a lighter,
- Setting the number plate instead of the headlamp,
- The transfer of the breather (at high speed, the breather was sweating with oil),
- Replacement of turn signals with small LED,
- Replacement of consoles with alteration of all wiring (small Soviet consoles
weigh a lot less and at the same time remind me of a moped childhood)),
- Replacing the handlebar rubbers with more hooked,
- Replacement of a speedometer with a bicycle one.
I had to place a LED headlamp on the front to indicate a motorcycle on the road.
The bearings of the steering column have been replaced with roller conical bearings.
As a result, it was possible to make the motorcycle lighter by more than 20 kg, its weight is 134 kg. This is a very good result.
Of course, the fully racing version does not have any optics, a front wing and a front brake,
but I also want to drive on ordinary roads, all the more these details weigh a little, and perform their functions well.
In general, I'm happy with the work done and can't wait for the start of the season.
