The '07 R6 is pure torture for city riding, as the extreme track-focused ergonomics will destroy your wrists and lower back in twenty minutes. Despite the pain, the build quality is top-tier, and the plastics and paint still look premium today. Mechanically, the engine and gearbox are bulletproof, though you have to watch out for typical age-related quirks like the voltage regulator or cam chain tensioner. Parts are cheap and easy to find, but the bike is packaged so tight under the fairings that simple labor like getting to the spark plugs is a massive pain. It usually costs more upfront than a comparable CBR600RR or GSX-R600, but it holds its resale value incredibly well and easily remains the best-looking 600 of its era. Ultimately, it is a terrible daily commuter, but an absolute masterpiece if you want a raw, uncompromising track weapon.
